MomsFirst is committed to a future where no mother dies from preventable causes. Our mission begins in Province 1, but our vision spans the entire country.
MomsFirst is launching a comprehensive door-to-door maternal health initiative in Eastern Nepal, focused on preventing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) using misoprostol.
Our approach is simple, effective, and deeply community-driven. We bridge the gap between national healthcare programs and the most marginalized women who are often left behind by current interventions.
"By reaching directly into homes, we ensure that even the most marginalized women have access to life-saving misoprostol and antenatal support."
22% of maternal deaths
are linked to delays in reaching healthcare facilities
15% of pregnant women
still don't attend any antenatal care visits
19% of women
deliver at home without skilled help
Our comprehensive approach ensures sustainable, community-driven solutions that reach the most vulnerable mothers.
Train FCHVs to identify PPH, administer misoprostol safely, and recognize complications early. These local champions become the backbone of our intervention.
